Horizon Lines Announces Rate Hikes in Westbound Trans-Pacific Service

Effective Nov. 1, 2011, Horizon Lines will implement a general rate increase (GRI) in Tariff HRZD 700 for all westbound shipments from the United States to Asia in its Five Star Express service.

In its announcement, the carrier said the increases, which apply to both dry and reefer cargo equipment, will be as follows:

  • $160 per 20' container.
  • $200 per 40' and 40' HC container.
  • $250 per 45' container.
