CaytransBBC Adds to FleetCreated by HButler on 1/16/2012 4:28:03 PM
CaytransBBC, which has seen steady growth in its cargo volume over the past year, is adding a sixth vessel to its fleet to enable it to offer more regular sailings.
The multipurpose M/V BBC Anglia will join CaytransBBC's existing fleet serving the U.S. Gulf - South America trade beginning in mid-January.
The ship has box-shaped cargo holds, adjustable tween-decks, and two 60 metric ton cranes that can lift up to 120 metric tons combined. As with theother ships in the service, the BBC Anglia is timber and grain fitted and can be converted to a single deck carrier upon request.
CaytransBBC is a joint venture service of the leading German multipurpose and heavy-lift fleet operator BBC Chartering and New Orleans-based Caytrans Project Services (Americas).
