BBC Chartering Continues To Update Fleet

BBC Chartering took delivery of three vessels last month as part of its fleet renewal and modernization program: BBC Amethyst, BBC Belem, and BBC Mont Blanc.

The 14,360 dwt BBC Amethyst is the second of a series of 14 planned newbuildings with a combined lifting capacity of 800 metric tons (2 x 400 metric tons). The company considers this vessel type marks the top of its heavy lift fleet.

The BBC Belem, with a lifting capacity of 2 x 80 metric tons, is the third of a series of eight 8,000 dwt multipurpose vessels. The 9,300 dwt BBC Mont Blanc joins sisters BBC Everest, BBC Fuji, and BBC Kibo to make up half of a planned fleet of eight vessels, each with a combined lifting capacity of 700 metric tons.
