Evergreen Announces Rate Hikes

Evergreen will implement a rate hike on its trade route from the Far East and South Africa to the U.S. and Puerto Rico, starting April 1.

From South Africa and the Far East, excluding India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh, to the U.S. and Puerto Rico, the increase will be $320 per 20-foot container, $400 per 40-foot container, $450 per 40-foot high-cube or refrigerated container and $506 per 45-foot high-cube container for G4 cargo imported into the U.S. West Coast.

For all other cargo on that route, the hike will be $480 per 20-foot container, $600 per 40-foot container, $675 per 40-foot high cube or reefer container and $760 per 45-foot high-cube container.

From India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh to the U.S. and Puerto Rico, the increase will be $340 per 20-foot container, $425 per 40-foot container, $478 per 40-foot high-cube or reefer container and $538 per 45-foot high-cube container for imports of G4 cargo into the U.S. West Coast.

For all other cargo, the hike will be $500 per 20-foot container, $625 per 40-foot container, $703 per 40-foot high-cube or reefer container and $791 per 45-foot high-cube container.
